Friends and clients of mine have been requesting that our beautiful silk scarf collection be available for men. At the request of a dear friend, Roger Weatherburn-Baker, I introduce you to our very first custom-made, soft, and infinitely refined, silk men’s shirt.
Elegantly titled “The Royal”, it has a bold Renaissance design. Inspired by an archived collection from a European museum. I sketched then hand-painted the print and fine-tuned the print digitally to get ready for production in Italy. The shirt is made from 2 limited edition scarves that measured 55” X 55”.
Roger was very particular about the design's placement and we engineered it to have the crown at the back yoke and an asymmetrical front with an angel on one side and scroll work on the other. We kept the detailed border at the hem and cuff along with the scarf’s original hand-rolled finish on the shirt hem and finished the inside with couture French seams.
